The James House Museum in its 300-plus year history

was home to 7 generations of the James Family up until 1930. It then became home to the Campbell family who lived in the home and  farmed the land up until  the early 1970s. Since that time no one has lived in the house, it has been empty all these years.

  With so many generations and so much history, it is no surprise that the house is haunted. In fact, it is on the list of the ten most haunted places on the seacoast.

  Spirit Chasers Paranormal of Hampton, NH runs many paranormal events each year to raise money for the upkeep of the property. Among them are public investigations, which will be listed on the Paranormal Events page as they are announced. We also book teams for private investigations of the property.
